Why work at MBA?
Bethuel
Head of Finance & Operations
I was approached by MBA when I graduated and looking for my first role in Accounts. I started out as a trainee finance assistant and 13 years on, I’m one of the longest serving members of the team!
As a small team, we’re close knit and we make an effort to spend time with each other out of work too with regular socials including Thursday lunches, which are a great way of getting to know people in other teams here.
There’s a huge emphasis on personal development at MBA and we are all offered support for training and development, regardless of role. This is often a mixture of on-the-job training, learning from colleagues and taking a course that is funded by the company.
Our working culture is based on our core values of putting the customer at the heart of everything that we do and ensuring that we deliver value. Anyone showing these values is recognised and rewarded for their efforts – you’re looked after at MBA.
Luke
Internal Account Manager
IT always interested me, so I knew that I would be well suited to this industry and during my interview at MBA, I heard a very positive overview of the company which I now know to be true! I started working at MBA as a customer success executive in July 2021 as part of their apprenticeship programme. By taking this route, I could combine work with training and mentorship, as well as being part of a community of other apprentices.
The training programme at MBA has been a key factor in my success here. Although there’s a lot to learn initially because of our broad portfolio of products and services, there is also a huge amount of support, so it never felt overwhelming.
In less than 2 years, I’ve been promoted to the position of internal account manager – meaning that I speak to a variety of people everyday and put my training into action. We’re a small but effective team and I am now trusted to lead some initiatives, including playing a part in the hiring of the next round of apprentices.
The sales world can be known for its cutthroat reputation but at MBA, we’re a close-knit team and want each other to excel. I’m ready to progress again to the next level at MBA and am training to become an external and new business salesperson.
Cameron
Account Manager & Customer Success Supervisor
I started working at MBA in April 2022 as part of an apprenticeship programme in the customer success/sales support team and haven’t looked back since! Less than 2 years into my time here, I’ve managed to progress into an account manager role and I’m also a supervisor in the customer success team.
The beauty of MBA is that we’re not overwhelmingly big, although we have some strong partnerships with crucial players in our market. Our team is really knowledgeable and they want everyone to succeed. One of the great benefits here is the support from senior members of the team including direct coaching, which has really helped to accelerate my personal and professional growth. From a sales perspective, it also means access to great opportunities and working with amazing customers that you wouldn’t get a chance to work with anywhere else.
I feel hugely valued as a member of the team and have real opportunities to apply myself. I’m trusted to work independently and learn new skills but importantly, I always have support if I do struggle with anything new. The team itself has a great atmosphere, everyone encourages each other and celebrates successes, I can’t recommend MBA enough.
