Top 5 tech events to attend this summer

Posted on Jul 12, 2016

Summer’s officially arrived this week! Here at MBA the two rays of sunshine we’ve seen this week inspired us to put together a list with our recommendations for the top 5 tech events to attend this London. We are going to all, let us know if you want to tag along!

July

First up and quickly approaching we have the AWS Summit. A must if cloud migration is something you have not implemented yet. You know it, it will happen for you, sooner or later. We see every day – the speed of cloud adoption is accelerating. CIF (no, not the detergent but the Cloud Industry Forum) recently reported that 84% of UK companies are now using cloud; remember, migration does not need to be the headache you were anticipating.

AWS Summit - 7th July (Thursday)

ExCeL London, One Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London E16 1XL

August

By default, the business world lays a little low in August. Same is valid for the tech events scene. If you’re not sipping limoncelo in Tuscany, or anywhere else for that matter, there are quite a few smaller but equally exciting events this month:

Science: Disrupt London Sessions (hosted by Google) - 2nd August (Tuesday)

Google Campus London - 4-5 Bonhill St Shoreditch , London, EC2A 4BX

These sessions never disappoint and give so much food for thought. If you are anything like us, i.e. a little nerdy to find this the highlight of the week, you’ll enjoy it.

Show Me the Product: Hardware and IoT Startups Demo Night - 4th August (Tuesday)

Google Campus - 4-5 Bonhill St, London, EC2A 4BX

Oh, come on, who doesn’t love that? Keen hipster community showing off their latest tech. Our hearts are melting – we love those guys. Great for networking and socialising

September

September kicks in with no mercy trying to remind us the summer days are gone and it’s time to roll up those sleeves and launch those projects. But it’s doing it in style with the annual Tech and Ecommerce Conference – one of the most exciting events for us in 2016.

Aimed at a varied audience – IT, ecommerce, marketing and digital teams – this event looks to foster a better understanding of what the latest changes and challenges are, and how retailers are tackling them.

Technology and Ecommerce Conference - 15th-16th September

Not bad for the hottest summer in 100, we think.

Remember to book early to avoid disappointment as it it get’s very popular closer to the dates. We’d love to see you there!
