The countdown to compliance has begun
Preparing for the EU General Data Protection Regulation
The Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25th May 2018. It will apply to any organisation operating within the EU or holding data belonging to EU residents. If your business doesn’t know what data it holds, where it is stored or how it’s used, you won’t be able to comply with the legislation. This would put you at a risk of penalties: Under GDPR organizations in breach of GDPR can be fined up to 4% of annual global turnover or €20 Million (whichever is greater).
But don't worry:
MBA IT is here to assist you in being GDPR-ready, and support you on your way to compliance.
As part of our breakfast briefing series we hosted an event where our industry experts explained in detail what GDPR is, its implications for IT and data management, what it means in practical terms for organisations and how to get started on preparing for compliance.
